Terms of Use

The rules for using TeaLamp.

Acceptance of these terms

Last updated: October 3, 2026.

By accessing or using tealamp.com (the “site”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Use of the site

You may read, share links to, and print the site’s content for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these terms and to the licence that applies to each article (see Copyright and Licences). You agree not to misuse the site: do not attempt to break or overload it, gain unauthorised access, scrape it in a way that harms performance, introduce malware, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Our content and licences

TeaLamp publishes articles that are adapted, formatted or translated from sources released under open licences such as CC BY, CC BY-SA and CC0. Each article credits its author and original publication, links to the original and states its licence. Those articles remain subject to their original licences, which also govern how you may reuse them. Original TeaLamp material, the site design and the TeaLamp name and logo are protected by copyright and may not be reused without permission, except as allowed by law.

AI-assisted content

Some content is prepared with the help of artificial intelligence and is credited as “TeaLamp Editorial Team”. See our Editorial and AI Policy. Although we work to keep content accurate and faithful to its source, errors can occur. Please report problems through our Contact page.

Comments and user submissions

Where comments are enabled, you are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, misleading or spam, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights. By posting a comment you grant TeaLamp a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the site. We may edit or remove comments at our discretion.

The site links to original publications and other third-party sites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and a link does not mean we endorse them.

No warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Please also read our Disclaimer. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TeaLamp and its owner, contributors and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its content.

Copyright complaints

If you believe that material on the site infringes your copyright, or that a credit or licence note is wrong, please tell us through the Contact page, identifying the article, the material and your relationship to it. We will review the request promptly and, where appropriate, correct or remove the material.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site owner is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction, except where local consumer law requires otherwise.
